So does anyone care to share where they are in terms of progression?  I have been positive since 2006, but only diagnosed since January.  Atm, my levels are good and therefore am foregoing treatment.  I am soon to be searching for a clinic in my area (since I've moved home) to help me with my tests.

What about support?  Does everyone have some kind of support system in place such as friends or family?  Or are you at it alone?  Blessings:)

I was recently diagnosed HIV poz just before the Thanksgiving weekend. It turned out that my upper respiratory infection I was being treated for turned into pneumonia and I was admitted to the hospital for ten days, the first six of those being in ICU. My HIV diagnoses came about with a blood test before my hospital stay.

Fortunately, I am on the recovery and back to work. I've been put on Atripla just this past Friday by my Infection Doc and it's been an interesting experience. I'm actually taking it extrememly well and have a fantastic group of friends and family who are being super supportive.

I suppose living in the Los Angeles area, I have a ton of resources to get to if needed. I also have been very active with the AIDS LifeCycle for the past three years (the first two being an actual rider and this year as a Roadie). They have been a fantastic group to be able to talk to and learn from.

So far my Infection Doc wants me to stay on the Atripla for the first 30 days then we'll see what happens from there. I'm just amazed at the love that has come of this and the care people have.
